Mechanical wear and corrosion account for approximately 70 per cent of industrial machine failures – and, in turn, the majority of mechanical failures can be attributed to poor lubrication practice.
This 3-day course, on June 18 to 20, 2019, is geared to professionals who want to know more about best practice machine lubrication and/or are in the early-stage of rolling out a machine lubrication oil analysis programme for condition monitoring.

- Lube Storage and Management
- Lube Condition Control
- Oil Sampling
- Lubricant health monitoring
- Wear Debris Monitoring and Analysis
TelLab is an Engineers Ireland approved trainer and this course provides over 20 CPD hours.
On day four (21 June) participants can opt to do the ICML level I examinations, but this is purely optional.
The course takes place here at T.E. Laboratories (TelLab) in Tullow, County Carlow. TelLab is Ireland’s only specialist accredited machinery lubrication oil analysis laboratory, so our venue gives course participants a unique opportunity to see a real oil analysis laboratory in action.
The course is presented by Martin Williamson, Director, KEW Engineering. Martin began his maintenance career in the South African mining industry. Over the past decade, he has been presenting training classes and undertaking consulting projects internationally on behalf of Noria Corp and other key clients such as BP, Dow Corning, Marathon Oil and Cargill as well as working on various related ISO working groups and the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML).
The standard rate for this three-day course is €1,150, including all course notes, lunches, tea/coffee breaks, etc.
