Our history

In 1991, Mark Bowkett  founded T.E.Laboratories in Blessington, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, as a subsidiary of the plastics company Sturdy Products.  The initial focus of the busines was on analysing and treating fuel. Since then, the company has grown organically and through acquisition.

Our first acquisition was of Standard Chemicals in 1999. This, coupled with considerable expansion of our chemical manufacturing business, meant we soon outgrew our original home, and in 2000, we moved to Tullow, Co. Carlow.

In May 2005, the company was purchased by its current directors through a MBO.  We have since (January 2010) moved into a new, purpose-built 40,000 s-ft premises, catering for our continued  expansion and growth, here at our current location in Tullow.

The facility is split over three levels, housing four laboratories,  production and warehousing facilities, and the Trend Institute, our in-house research division.
