Manual Handling Training
This half-day course* is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to safely move and handle loads using the eight principles of safer moving and handling.
According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), an estimated 481,612 days were lost across the economy due to work-related injury in 2016. In recent years, manual handling has tended to be the most common cause of non-fatal injuries, contributing about one-third of those reported to the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) in 2016 (32%).
*Can be combined with our laboratory safety training for an integrated, full-day integrated workplace safety course.
