Machine lubrication analysis course (MLA Level II)

Presented By: Martin Williamson, Director, KEW Engineering
Location: Tullow, County Carlow, Ireland

Lubrication oil analysis is a powerful condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technique. By analysing a small sample of your machine’s lubrication oil, it is possible to flag up potential sources of trouble before they lead to break downs.

Designed to take your knowledge and capabilities to the next level, this 3-day MLA Level II course is geared to professionals who have already completed MLA Level I training OR who have acquired equivalent knowledge through practical experience.

What the course covers

Commencing with a brief review of lubricant roles and functions and oil analysis maintenance strategies, the three-day course then moves on to the main focus, as follows:

  • Oil sampling
  • Lubricant health monitoring
  • Lubricant contamination measurement and control
  • Wear debris monitoring and analysis

Full details of the body of knowledge covered by this course are available here.

On day four (13 September) participants can opt to do the ICML MLA Level II examinations, but this is purely optional.
