3-Day Course – Dublin – ICML Level I – Lubrication Management & Oil Analysis for Maximum Plant Reliability

This 3-day course is geared towards the reliability/maintenance/lubrication leader(s) in manufacturing, fleet management and powergen/utility operations.

It is an industry-wide, internationally recognised professional qualification, and, when taken in conjunction with the MLA Level I examination (on the afternoon of Thursday 17 September), it leads to accreditation by the International Council for Machine Lubrication (ICML).

(Note: Due to changes in ICML regulations, participants MUST complete MLA  Level I, before proceeding to MLA Level II. Equivalent on-the-job experience is no longer sufficient).

The first 2.5 days of the course are dedicated to training and case studies. The optional ICML exam takes place on the afternoon of the third day.

Participating in this course, will equip you to design, implement and lead a programme of

– best practice lubrication management to maximise asset availability and lifetime

– use lubrication oil analysis as a key tool in condition monitoring and preventative/predictive maintenance.

Responding to client demand, for the first time ever, we are bringing this course to West Dublin (Crowne Plaza, Blanchardstown) to provide a convenient location for engineers and companies in the Greater Dublin area.

Course content

The training programme places lubrication and oil analysis in the context of an overall reliability or predictive maintenance programme.

It will provide participants with a detailed understanding of best practice in

– Lubrication selection, storage and application

– Designing an oil analysis programme for condition monitoring

– Correct procedures for oil sampling

– Interpretation of oil analysis results and trends over time to determine the condition of the oil and any corrective actions needed

– Identifying the early warning signs of problems brewing in plant, machinery and equipment, together with corrective actions needed

This course from TelLab is recognised by Engineers Ireland and provides over 20 CPD hours. 


ICML exam and accreditation 

When followed by the optional 3-hour, multiple-choice examination on the afternoon of Thursday  17 September, this training also leads to the prestigious and internationally recognised Machine Lubrication Analyst – Level I qualification, awarded by the International Council for Machine Lubrication (ICML).


Early Bird Rate and Significant Group Discounts

The standard course fee of €1,150 includes all course notes, lunches, teas/coffees etc. over the three days.

An early bird course fee of €975 is available for bookings made before 31 July 2020. In addition, we are offering significant discounts for group* bookings  as follows: €820 for the second person,  €640 for the third, €420 for the fourth and €310 for the fifth person from the same company.

The optional ICML exam, on the afternoon of Thursday 17 September,  is an additional cost of €400 per participant.
