To support the EU’s anti-fraud initiatives and provide laboratories with the reliable testing standard, TE Laboratories Ltd T/A Tellab manufactures certified Euro Marker Dye Standard d5BPE 2000ppm.
As of 2024, ACCUTRACE™ Plus (specifically n-butyl phenyl ether, BPE) is the new mandatory, common fiscal marker for gas oil, kerosene and tax-subsidised petroleum products in the European Union. It is designed to be highly resistant to common fuel laundering techniques unlike the previous marker, Yellow Solvent 124.For regulatory fuel marking analysis (such as the EU Euromarker method ILIADe 606:2024), the required internal standard (ISTD) is n-Butyl phenyl-d5 ether (d5-BPE). The deuterated phenyl ring is critical for ensuring precise and reliable GC-MS analysis.
