Breda Moore

Technical director 

Breda Moore has led technical operations here at T.E. Laboratories (TelLab) for the past 14 years and, prior to that, has been a core member of our technical team for six years.

As technical director, she has overarching responsible for scientific and technical matters across our major divisions: environmental analysis, oil (lubrication and transformer) analysis, chemical manufacturing, R&D and training.  In particular, she has been responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality procedures and systems across these divisions, including INAB accreditation and ISO 9001 certification.

Breda has also overseen the establishment of our research and new product development wing (the Trend Institute). In this role, she has led TelLab involvement in several major European research projects and has guided a number of MSc and PhD graduates through their studies.

Since 2015, Breda has overseen the provision of our external laboratory training courses for non-chemists. These include HACH, Pipetting Techniques, pH and Conductivity, Hazardous Chemical Handling. She has also been retained in a consultancy role (as trainer, SOP writer and troubleshooter) by a number of companies, including MSD, ESB, Port of Waterford and Intel.

Prior to joining TelLab, Breda had several years’ experience working in the laboratories of two separate industrial production facilities. She holds a BSc Hons degree in Chemistry from NUI, Galway, as well as qualifications in Quality Assurance and in Quality Management from IT Carlow.
