Ashley Mayer to Lead Machine Care Lab
Ashley Mayer has joined T.E. Laboratories (TelLab) to head our Machine Care Oil Analysis Laboratory. In this new role, Ashley will lead the analysis team in the interpretation of oil sample laboratory reports.
He will also be available to customers for technical support, training and on-site consulting, and he will oversee the commissioning of significant investments in new analytical and diagnostic equipment made by TelLab in 2020.
Coming to Ireland from South Africa, Ashley brings 23 years of experience in machine fluid diagnostics, spanning lubricating oils, coolants and fuels.
Five of these years were with Noria Corporation, the global provider of training courses, consulting services and publications on enabling reliability through better lubrication processes.
For the past 11 years, he was worked with WearCheck Africa, part of WearCheck International’s group of 17 laboratories and offices worldwide.
With WearCheck, Ashley provided machine fluid diagnostics, training and consultancy to numerous clients across South Africa’s mining, road and rail transport, wind energy, gas, manufacturing, military and aviation sectors and was Honeywell aero-turbine oil- and filter-analysis authorised.
Ashley qualified as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and has a certificate in Datametrics from the University of South Africa.
